Ems Valley

Message from the Chairman on 18.4.24

Hello everyone,

2024 is really racing along; I cannot believe it’s almost a third over already. I hope you are well and enjoying your activities and that Ems Valley u3a is involved in at least some of them. I am feeling quite excited about the development of our new website platform, and I would expect to go live with it early next month ahead of our AGM. Talking of which, you will be receiving your AGM packs in due course.

Back to this month, though, and I am looking forward to hearing about our local attraction, the Oyster Boat Terror, that Judy Darley will be talking to us about on Thursday the 25th. The After Tea slot is taken up with the three French groups on stage and yours truly talking to some of the members and discovering their love of France, its mellifluous language, and their motivations for taking part in these groups. Perhaps you might like to join them…

As an added treat, Roger Bleasby's Photography group have selected, printed the finest of their recent pictures for exhibition in the foyer. Do take a few minutes to review their talents as you enter or while you're drinking your tea.

As ever, if you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to email me and I'll see what I can do to help.

I look forward to seeing you on Thursday at the Emsworth Baptist Church at 1:45 for 2pm.

Best wishes,

Tim
