We have over 530 members and we regularly have around 100 at our monthly meetings where we meet socially and enjoy listening to a speaker on a topic of general interest. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served in the interval, and generally one of the groups will talk about their group.

Members are entitled to sign up for outings and social events and also join any group which has vacancies - please contact the Groups Coordinator or the Group Leader of the group you are interested in. The interest groups are run by members for members, following the u3a ethos which encourages self-help and learning together. If members have an interest not currently catered for, the Groups Co-ordinator will be very happy to give advice on setting up a new group; all of our groups started out in this way.

Our membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March and the annual fee for membership is currently £25 per person (£15 only if you join after 1st November and before 1st February). There are usually no extras for joining groups, the price of hiring halls for monthly meetings is paid from u3a funds, up to two hours per month.
